Privacy Policy
Last updated October 12, 2026
The short version. This website collects only what you choose to send us: chats with our AI agents, which we do not keep, messages from the Contact page, and email. Visitors get no cookies, no ads and no tracking. We count page visits on our own server, without cookies, to see which pages are read. The one cookie on this site is for Democura team members who sign in. We never sell anyone's information. Please do not share health information here.
Who We Are
Democura (democura.com) is operated by Timatsu LLC, based in North Carolina. Questions about this policy go to hello@democura.com.
What This Site Collects
Democura is not yet open to patients. This site collects only what you choose to send:
- Chats with Atlas, our AI agent. Atlas does not ask for your name or email. Your messages are sent to an AI model so Atlas can reply. We do not save the conversation or send it to our team.
- Conversations with Hippocrates, our AI advisor on medical ethics. Your messages are sent to an AI model, and your question is used to search the library of his writings that grounds his answers. If you talk to him out loud, your browser turns your speech into text with its own speech service before anything reaches us, and his spoken replies are made by a voice service. We do not save the conversation, your words or the audio.
- Messages from the Contact page. Your name, email and message are emailed to the Democura team and kept in our private inquiry list so we can write back.
- Email you send us. Mail to a democura.com address is received by our email provider and forwarded to our team inbox.
Coverage Check runs entirely in your browser. Tapping a plan sends nothing to us, and it never asks for your name, date of birth or member number.
We use what you send only to answer you. The site has no public sign-ups, no third-party analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising and no social media trackers, and it never asks for health information. Our AI agents will ask you not to share it.
Counting Visits
We count visits to democura.com on our own server, so we know which pages people read. Each count keeps the page, the site that sent you there (if any), whether you were on a phone, tablet or computer, and your country. It sets no cookie and stores no IP address. To tell one visit from the next on the same day, we keep a scrambled code made from that day’s date and your connection; it changes every day, so no one can follow you from one day to the next. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, nothing is counted.
Cookies And Browser Storage
Visitors get no cookies, and the site saves nothing in your browser's storage. The only cookie, democura_session, is set when a Democura team member signs in. It keeps them signed in for up to 12 hours, it is required for the team area to work, and it is never used for tracking.
Team Sign-In
The sign-in page is for the Democura team only. When a team member signs in, we check their email and password against our account system and keep their email, their role and a link to their profile photo in the session cookie. Patient accounts do not exist yet and will live in a separate, protected environment when they do.
What Our Service Providers See
A few services handle information so the site can work:
- Vercel hosts the site. Its servers see your IP address and browser details and keep standard request logs for security and reliability.
- Google Fonts serves the site's typefaces, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
- OpenRouter and the AI model provider it routes to receive your chat messages so Atlas and Hippocrates can reply.
- ElevenLabs receives the text of Hippocrates' replies to turn them into his voice.
- Your browser's speech service (for example Google in Chrome or Apple in Safari) handles your voice if you speak to Hippocrates, under that company's own privacy terms.
- Resend sends and receives our email, including Contact page messages.
- Supabase runs our databases: the private inquiry list, team sign-in, the library Hippocrates searches, and short-lived request counters.
We do not combine this information with anything else. To protect our AI agents from abuse, the site counts requests by IP address for a short time and then deletes those counts.
If You Email Us
If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you include, and we use it only to reply. Please do not send health information, medical records or insurance details by email. We will delete your message on request.
Health Information
This site does not ask for, store or process protected health information, and our AI agents are not a medical service. If you share health details anyway, in a chat or a message, we will delete anything we hold on request. How we will handle health information once Democura offers services is described in our HIPAA Notice.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your Choices And Rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete anything you have sent us by writing to hello@democura.com. Residents of states with privacy laws, such as California, have rights over the personal information a business holds. We honor those requests, and we never sell personal information.
Changes
When Democura adds patient accounts or services, this policy will be updated before they go live, and the date above will change.
